What do people want from you online? It’s not what you might think.
Cool animations and interesting infographics all help you stand out, but above all, users are craving authenticity. In fact, one recent study named it as the single most important factor that followers care about.
This trend is largely a result of the AI revolution. As ChatGPT garbage clogs the internet, humans are increasingly seeking content made by humans, for humans, and about humans, too.
Authentically conveying your organization online is vital to our entire team (and why we take all new clients through our proprietary workshops on site). But, we need your help to make your content a true and living representation of your program.
Who’s Your Social Media MVP?
This is where your team comes in. Asking employees to participate in content generation is tough when their bandwidth is already crunched. We’ve found it useful to:
- Offer Incentive: Some clients offer monthly prizes for the best employee photo submissions. Coffee for content, anyone? A $5 gift card for the most active participants each month could be well worth it.
- Find Your MVP: Think about who could be the “motivator” among your staff. Maybe it’s an administrative assistant, or maybe the outreach coordinator is the best to put boots on the ground. If someone comes to mind, connect them with your account manager directly. We’re even happy to join your photo Slack channel or group text to make the process smoother.
In the end, we tell clients that content creation happens on a spectrum. If your team is unable to submit fresh-from-the-field photos, we’ll find a way around it. But, even the most basic cellphone shots can become special pieces in the hands of our designers. Stuck for ideas? We’d love to see:
- A beautiful sunrise on campus
- Fun shots of client activities (no faces, please!)
- Pics of your team hard at work at conferences
- Candid shots of employees making magic happen
- Anything else that catches your eye
We can’t wait to see what we can create together!
